Critical reading is a key skill for you to develop during your time as a student and beyond. This is true for whatever format of documentation you use.

Treat the Internet no differently and you should find it easier to navigate the breadth of information and data available.

Useful websites for Business students

  • AccountingWEB: Aims to deliver topical, practical content to accountants and accounting professionals.

  • American Marketing Association: Professional association involved in the practice, teaching and study of marketing worldwide, and a source for information/resources, education/training and professional networking.

  • Asian Development Bank: International development finance institution centering on Asia and the Pacific.

  • Bank of England: The central bank of the United Kingdom.

  • Banque de France: The central bank of France.

  • BEIS: Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy: The BEIS's goal is to "build an economy that works for everyone, so that there are great places in every part of the UK for people to work and for businesses to invest, innovate and grow.

  • British Chambers of Commerce: A network of accredited Chambers of Commerce across the UK.

  • CBI: Confederation of British Industry: Describes itself as "the premier lobbying organisation for UK business on national and international issues".

  • CNN Money: Financial information from the CNN network.

  • Companies House: The main functions of Companies House are to incorporate and dissolve limited companies; examine and store company information delivered under the Companies Act and related legislation; and make this information available to the public.
