Business: Library essentials

A collection of information resources and guidance for Business students

Introduction - what is the Library Essentials dashboard?

We know students are short on time and when the going gets tough, learning new stuff about the library is one of the first things to get shelved for another day (or week, or lifetime).

Yellow post it note with red exclamation mark drawn on it.

On this page, we've gathered together the most essential and important information you'll need to know about us to get through your degree.

These videos and instructions are short and to the point, but you can use the other tabs in this guide to explore our services in more detail whenever you like.

Information about COVID-19 (coronavirus)

An icon showing handwashingInformation about COVID-19

We would urge you to use only trustworthy sources of information on the pandemic, as a lot of misleading information is available.

One of our librarians wrote a blog post about this: COVID-19 - seeking reliable information in difficult times. It was written for librarians, but we hope you may also find it useful.

Keep up to date with the info from your university and students union:

Lots of publishers have released all material relating to COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 to the public. In some cases, this extends further to articles about infection control, past pandemics etc. Some of these: BMJCambridge University PressElseviermedRxiv (preprints), NatureNew England Journal of MedicineOxford University PressSage (medical, behavioural and social science), Taylor and Francis and Wiley.
